Triumph Tiger 800 XCX and Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin

Honda exhibits its new sports adventure bike concept at 2016 Osaka Motorcycle Show this weekend in Osaka, Japan. This new face of a bike is said to be the roughest version of Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin, which was showcased at the Auto Expo Delhi 2016, following the EICMA show in Milan. The second one is Triumph Tiger 800 XCx which has already unveiled in India on 30th July 2015. This bike is a premium off-road bike and featured as a most updated version throughout the XCx range. The Tiger 800 XCx  also includes some smooth-riding features like adjustable traction control, three riding modes, and fully adjustable WP suspension. It is considered as a genuine all-round adventure bike contender currently available in the market.

So, here is a close comparison between two best in class Bikes- Triumph Tiger 800 XCX and Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin. The comparison is in the terms of engine displacement, safety features, technologies, and design which are provided in the form of Infographic.



The Triumph Tiger 800 XCx bike measures with a length of 2215mm, a width of 851mm and height of 1390mm. The bike has a kerb weight of 221 kg.
Now comes to the engine and gearbox side, The Triumph Tiger 800 XCx  receives the power from an 800cc, In-line 3-cylinder engine that draws out a maximum power of 95 BHP at 9,250 RPM and a vertex torque of 79 NM at 7,850 RPM. The powerplant is connected to a six-speed gearbox.

Mechanically, the braking duties are managed by a Twin 308mm Floating Discs, Nissin 2-piston Sliding Calipers, Switchable ABS at the front side, while the 255mm rear single disc with  Nissin Single Piston Sliding Caliper, Switchable ABS. The motorcycle is featured with a long-travel suspension, which offers a new level of off-road riding ability.

While talking about the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin, it gets power from a 998cc, 4-stroke, Parallel Twin with 270 crank and Unicam that produces a maximum power of 92.6 BHP at 7,500 RPM and 98 Nm of torque at 6,000 RPM. The braking duties are managed by 310 mm dual wave floating hydraulic disc at the front side and 256 mm wave hydraulic disc at the rear end. The bike gives a dynamic balancing power as it is loaded with telescopic suspensions at front and mono Shock fork at the rear side.
The bike measures with a length of 2334mm, width of 873mm and height of 1475mm. The bike has a kerb weight of 208 kg.
