Yamaha MT-03 v/s Honda CBR250RR

Now a days most people want sports bikes for the fun ride and stylish look. we are witnessing day by day advancement in   the mono-shock technology of new sports bikes. But we are confused, which one is the best for us and in which conditions select one bike? Because there are many types of sports bikes available in the automobile market. That's why, here we are comparing two famous brands bikes such as Honda CBR250RR v/s Yamaha MT-03 on the basis of  specifications, Price, Mileage and safety features that will help us to choose best one.




The Japanese manufacturer is likely to launch the Yamaha MT-03 by the end of 2016 or early 2017. According to news reports, Yamaha might introduce the MT-03 in India after bridging the demand-supply gap in the international markets. Whereas, Honda CBR250RR was officially launched in Indonesia on 25 July of 2016. It is available in 2 versions in Indonesia – Non-ABS and ABS. As of now, Honda has no plans to launch the CBR250RR in India. Both bikes will be built for the youngsters, who like fun riding.

Engine: Yamaha MT-03 v/s Honda CBR250RR

Yamaha MT-03 comes powered by 321cc engine displacement, 4-stroke liquid-cooled DOHC parallel-twin engine that generates 31 kW (41.6 bhp) @ 10,750 rpm power and a torque of 30 nm (22.1 lb-ft.) @ 9,000 rpm. Yamaha bikes come with Blue Core Technology that technology will help for the Fuel-Injected system.



The Honda CBR250RR comes with 250cc engine displacement, 4-stroke, 8-valve, Parallel Twin Cylinder, Liquid Cooled engine equipped with Auto Electric Fan. The HET (Honda Eco Technology) is basically a fuel efficient technology, Which has been equipped with the scooter range from the company. The HET generates decent maximum power output 41.4 bhp at 10,750 rpm and a peak torque of 29.6 nm at 9,000 rpm.

Let's talk about design, Yamaha’s success in the naked standard class has been pretty plain over the last few years with great high-value models like the FZ-09 and FZ-07 (MT-09 and MT-07 in the rest of the world) making big departures from the previous more traditional offerings.



Whereas the Honda CBR250RR is fully faired bike comes with a muscular front fender, mean looking front, chiselled fuel tank, and ventilated disc brakes for both the wheels. The Light Weight Super Sports Concept Honda launched at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show last October.

Instrument: Yamaha MT-03 v/s Honda CBR250RR

The Yamaha MT-03 get a new digital dashboard that carries lots of information with speedometer, tachometer, odometer, average speed, fuel level, gear-engaged and many another panel.
The Honda CBR 250RR is equipped with fully digital instrument panel, which contains turn signal signs, low to high beam headlight light tell tale, a fuel meter, speedometer and much more for rider's convenience.

On the safety front,  the Yamaha MT-03 gets Telescopic forks, 41 mm inner tube at a front mono shock swing arm at the rear side. Both brakes are Hydraulic single disc but at front 298 mm and 220 mm at the rear. The motorcycle is equipped with the tyre size of 110/70-17M/C (54H) Tubeless at the front while 140/70-17M/C (66H) Tubeless tyre at the rear.

On the other hand, the Honda CBR250RR is blessed with telescopic fork 37 mm at the front side and the Mono Shock box section swings arm at the rear side wheel. The bike gets many safety features such as 2x275 mm double disc 2 piston callipers in front and single 220mm disc 1 piston calliper at the rear side wheel for stopping the bike. 110/70-R17 at front tyre and 140/60-R17 at rear side tyre with tubeless and wide tyres size provides better grip at high speed.

Colour, Price, and Launch Date: Yamaha MT-03 v/s Honda CBR250RR

The Yamaha MT-03 will be available in 3 shades: - Red Metallic, Black Metallic & Matt Silver. The price is expected to stay close to INR 3,00,000 and the bike is expected to be available in a single non-ABS variant. The Yamaha MT-03 is expected to be launched in India by the end of 2016.



The 2017 CBR250RR will be manufactured in Indonesia and will be one of the largest displacement offering Honda motorcycle manufactured ever in the country. The Honda CBR250RR has no plans to launch this bike in India soon. If launched then the bike is expected to be priced in the range between Rs. 3,50,000-4,00,000. This bike will be available in three exciting shades: Honda Red Racing, Matt Gun Powder Black, and Anchor Grey Metallic.
