This new face of a bike is said to be the roughest version of Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin, which was showcased at the Auto Expo Delhi 2016, following the EICMA show in Milan. The new bike CB Hornet has large space and single seat that provides the comfortable ride during the long distance. The Honda CB Hornet is powered by 162.71 cc, 4 stroke SI Engine, BS IV with Honda  Eco Technology which generates 15.04 BHP power at 85oo RPM and 14.76 Nm torque at 65oo RPM. The bike gets 5-speed transmission. Whereas the TVS Apache 160 Matt Blue receives the power from a 159.7cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder with BS IV motor which produces 15.2 BHP maximum power and 13.1 Nm torque at 4000 RPM. The motorcycle transfers power via the 5-speed gearbox to the rear wheels. The both motorcycles use self and kick starter system for user help.

Safety feature:

In terms of safety features, both motorcycles are incorporated with high safety features such as brakes, suspension, headlight and taillight. One the best part of the Hornet is an X shaped LED tail-light that gives attention to the followers. The braking duties are managed by the disc brakes at both ends. The CB Hornet bike is loaded with telescopic suspensions at front side and semi-loaded mono suspension at rear that give a dynamic stability power. The stander variant of the Honda CB Hornet 160R’s price is RS 82,095 and the CBS trim is priced at 86,595 (both ex-showroom, Delhi). The TVS Apache Matt Blue 160’s price is 76,489 (Ex-showroom Delhi).

CB Hornet is available in four shades Striking Green, Mars Orange, Athletic Blue Metallic and Sports Red. But the TVS Apache is only single color that is Matt Blue. The mileage of the Hornet is 60KMPL and the Apache RTR gives a decent mileage of 55KMPL.

New Suzuki Gixxer VS Honda CB Unicorn 160

Riding Position and Handling

The Honda CB Unicorn 160 gives a comfortable ride to the rider as it is featured with single unit seat and compact handlebar. The rear set foot pegs make the riding position sportier. The Honda CB Unicorn160 is available in the market at price of Rs. 77,668 (Ex-showroom). The bike returns the great mileage as the engine is blessed with the HET technology and available in five paint scheme as Imperial Red Metallic, Pearl Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Sunbeam White.

The Gixxer is selling at the price of 85,729 (Ex-showroom). The motorcycle gives a decent mileage as it is blessed with its own advance technology, named SEP which amenable to produce better fuel efficiency. Interestingly, Honda CB Unicorn 160 offers better fuel economy than Gixxer. The bike is available in five color options Metallic Triton Blue, Oort Grey Metallic, Candy Antares Red, Peal Mirage White, Glass Sparkle Black in Indian bazaar.

Overall

Honda CB Unicorn160 is a better motorcycle in its category but it could not successfully beat the Suzuki Gixxer as it offers better things than CB unicorn 160. Gixxer attracts the user's attention towards itself as it is more sporty than Honda CB Unicorn 160. But in the serene styling the CB Unicorn 160 is ahead.
